Look, who's here?

Tuesday night in the middle of service, Peter, my fellow waiter came and announced to every member of staffs that he walked pass by 'Look Table 3 is Madonna's husband, Guy Ritchie'. The usual me got so excited to be able to see someone famous. He looks better here than in the magazine. However, I won't be able to recognise him either if not Peter came to tell me.

Russian attacks

On Monday, I served a table of 3 ppl + their driver. They are Russians. I can recognise one of the guy. He has grey hair and is one of the most hated customer in our restaurant. He is very demanding and never leave tips unless he comes with a bunch of girls. So, on Monday night I was the unlucky one. They sat on my section. The grey-hair guy came first. Then followed by the other 2 guys and their driver. After that I reliased that the other 2 guys are his big boss, though I've never met them before. I tried my best to give very good service because I believe the big boss will be paying and of cos, I want tips. I can see their luxury car parked just right in front of the restaurant. I guess I did very well and they were impressed. They gave me £50 tips.

On Tuesday night, they came again. Although I am very bad in recognising people, I remember the grey-hair guy and one of his boss. He was wearing very thick gloves on both his hands on Monday and Tuesday. At first I thought maybe both his hands were attacked before because he is some kind of Russian mafia or something. I dunno, I just guess. This time, they sat at my collegue, Alam's section. Alam was not here yet. So, I picked up the table because I knew they gonna tip me again, maybe. After that Alam came and he told me that he could recognise this man with gloves. He got some kind of disease on both his hands and the last time Alam saw him in Chelsea football club, he was not wearing the gloves and they smell !! Both his hands got spots and it was teribble. The first thing came to my mind was 'Is it spreable?'. Oh God. On that night after I finished my shift, I got home and immediately shower and scrub every part of my body and hand with anti-bacteria.

Now, I confess....

I decided to start blogging about my daily job experience as a waitress in London. I read a book few years ago, it was writen by a single mother who used to work as a waitress in New York. In her book, she wrote abt her everyday experience as a waitress and I found her book to be very interesting and that's y I decided to do the same. Since I started to work as a waitress more than 3 years ago, I had encountered many situations and met many difficult, funny, nice and weird customers. I would like to keep this memories and hope to read back after many years in the future.
